Prescott Golf Club

It's closer than you think.

Prescott Golf Club is a beautiful semi-private course in the town of Prescott, just 50 minutes away from the western part of Ottawa — and even closer for those more south. Overlooking the St. Lawrence River, Prescott is a classic-style course that's well-worth the little drive.

As one of the first courses to open in the spring, and one of the last to close for the winter, it tends to remain in fantastic condition throughout the entire season.

Aptly titled "Knock on Wood", possibly in part because of the numerous scattered pines ready to penalize anyone straying from the fairway, its 385-yard par-four opening hole becomes easy if you stripe it solidly down the pipe.

The good news...

Prescott is one of the few remaining public courses with a driving range — and it has both a putting and a chipping green — so drop by well before your tee time for a little practice, and maybe a bite in their fully-licensed restaurant. More

Hot Dog!

There are several notable holes, especially the epic #14 par-five that heads downhill towards the river. You'll want to pick up a hotdog and beverage on your way to the tee box because #14 requires a little extra oomph if you plan to get home in three shots. More
